Which is why It’s my belief we will furlough soon, management will not tolerate those losses if there is a way to mitigate them through furloughs, especially with the upcoming change in leadership.
I was at the schoolhouse last month and asked some key people about your furlough rumor. After speaking with them I decided it wasn’t worth my time to log in and debunk your garbage.
The flight operations center does not house any key people...Lots of khaki-clad parrots but no key people...We are going to burn 2.5 to 4 million per day for the foreseeable future. Pent up demand is a mythical talking point. Vaccine is a placebo....

Hold on... we are changing by the moment. I think the vaccine is a game changer, the only question is how much material damage happens to the economy awaiting its dissemination. MAX order will be out in days, I think it’s foolish to draw down on M, I am confident whoever you talked to in flight ops is many steps behind. Let’s see how the next couple of months go... I think there is a lot to be excited about.

[QUOTE=flysnoopy76;3158712]Unblocking middle seats is the light switch for cash burn zero. Six months after that the vaccine will have wide distribution. We’ll be back to 90% of pre-Covid by next summer.

[QUOTE=AK22;3158889]According to the load factor the company puts out, it appears we can’t fill the seats that are available, none of the flights I’ve flown have been even close, how does making the middle seat available help?

[QUOTE=flysnoopy76;3158902]Loads are capped in the low 60’s, anything higher than low 50’s unachievable. Just like how you never run 100% with no blocking. I’ve run many flights at or near the cap.

[QUOTE=AK22;3158909]Glad to hear some of yours have had good loads, like I said mine have not. The company’s posted daily load factor appears to run in the low 40s.

[QUOTE=flysnoopy76;3158902]It helps because the flights that do go out “full (65%LF) without middle Seats would most likely be even fuller hence it makes sense plus it would drive the overall LF up and bring us closer to Cash burn zero. It’s time to stop this ridiculous practice of blocking seats, period!

Facts. Facts are totally fair. The industry is swirling around the toilet bowl. I don’t dispute that for a second. In fact I think is fairly reasonable to be prepared for a really bad employment outcome based on the numbers for Q3.
Claiming you’re an insider and saying flight ops is actively planning a furlough is a completely different thing. It’s what I was referring to when I said garbage. MEA claimed to know that flight ops was actively planning a furlough. That’s what I’m taking about.
It’s also what our Union MEC said about OTZ when he was citing the exact percentage of the pilot group that was getting furloughed, to the tenth of a percent. It’s just garbage. Some self important troll wants to feel important about themselves so they come here and spew garbage.
It’s really pathetic.
