3 months lots of breaks. A nice pace in my opinion.

Like weeks off at a time? That’s how it was back then.

5-7 day breaks. Varies depending on whether or not they need to get someone else back into class.

Default Length of Time on Short Call

This may be slightly off-topic, but does anyone know how long you can expect to be on short call in SEA after training? Is it like more like a month or two or is it like a year+?

Thanks

I don’t know for sure, but guys that were in my new hire class about 9 months ago can hold lines in SEA already.

I know there’s a wing pinning ceremony now. I understand this is fairly new. Are loved ones (mostly significant others) able to come to this? I know at the other major airlines, they will positive space them to the ceremony. I’m not expecting that with Alaska. But, just knowing if they could come or not.

Does Alaska send out limitations, flows, memory items prior to class?

Negative. More than enough time to study though.

If it’s anything like the one that upgrades get, it’s not like the elaborate ceremony that some other airlines do. They just take a couple of pictures while handing you your wings during the ops building tour.
