Math is hard for Alaska Airlines….Public math even harder….The people that are occupying positions that are well above their competency level….Think VP of Flight all the way to the newest paper-clip sorter…They need to be removed and replaced…Like a generator that wont hold volts and freqs….Unfortunately there is no, none, not any adult supervision over at Angle Lake…

It’s fuzzy math pickled in special sauce. As for pilot management types, they are just Kapos. There will always be plenty sellouts for personal gain.

I just wish they were competent sell-outs…At least something would be done properly….

turns out it was 6 pilots sent home. No instructors avail to cover the lessons and they wanted to keep OE flights happening.

There were SFO slots in the last class, I wouldn’t count on the SFO base lasting long term though, the Airbus is leaving and I doubt the 737 base there lasts.
Id try for United if you want SFO

It doesn’t make sense. The CA laws were clearly written for the average land-based job, inside a building. These rules don’t make sense for working on an airplane.

AS is gonna push hard on this. If nothing gives, sounds like early on… Flush everything to SEA and PDX… maybe re-open JFK with a little nod to starting a BOI base. You have to think, cooler heads will prevail but this is California 😂

A full BOI base count me in. More growth there.
