On CNBC today, I understood the conservative position on 2026 earnings, as being driven by the uncertainty of the price of west coast refined jet fuel. Early revenue trends are strong.

Doesn’t mean that can’t change.

West Coast, specifically California, refinery capacity issues, that seems odd. That has to be a fabrication….

Almost anything can change. They're just going to tend to be pretty careful what they say in formal filings and investor calls.

Who wants to bet management is hung up on inter island scope? Scope is the hill we must die on.

Out of curiosity how full are the 717’s? Can you not just semi reduce service and put it on bigger aircraft? I fly the 717 for Delta and the fuel burn is almost identical to a CFM powered 737/320 so I don’t see what the issue is with just replacing them with that. To me this seems like an easy answer and you get a solid 30-40 more seats out of that alone for the same operating costs.

Honestly I believe that’s the plan. I think management is attempting to leverage spent negotiating capital here and IMO it’s worth it.

Absolutely. However, if we hold on inter-island scope AND don't also adjust the overall ratio down they will be able to flood the mainland/ANC with 175s, due to the size of the overall fleet/planned growth. I'll be a no if both inter-island scope, and mainland scope are not protected.

from what I’ve heard from a reliable source, interisland scope is not the issue. It’s Alaskas tie up with American. No other U.S. carriers have such an agreement and there needs to be scope limits (I don’t know anything about what Alaska has with American, but that’s just what I was told.) Interisland scope has already been agreed to.
