Was it Southwest, United, or Hawaiian that was all but a done deal? Last I checked the Eskimo was still on the tail.
Not quite… there is a bonus in there that is about 1/6th of that 304k… I know it’s hard for you to believe but that doesn’t mean it’s all that hard! About 160+or- a month… yup that’s what I have been doing.

I don’t think there is any merger on our horizon, AS was definitely talking to BA about 787, and we will absolutely snap up in September!

And you will always be sad, angry, and bitter!

Ridiculous. You spend your entire life at work and utilize opportunities that no line pilot has, and you think we should be impressed by that?

Now we’re gonna throw in the bonus to inflate that number 🤣 160+ a month sounds miserable. Your life revolves around work, clearly. But you’ll tell me you only fly __ much I’m sure. AS and BA were never talking about 787’s. And coming in 2025? No shot. Let me hear the reason why that’s not happening all of a sudden? Oh yeah, cause it never “was.” Single fleet is a massive AAG thing. Just adding some realism to your fantasies.

“Was definitely talking to BA about 787”? You just said a couple weeks ago that AS was in negotations and that 787s would be on property in early 2025.

I do not know the outcome of AS and BA’s negotiations. I believe it is still ongoing. I know marketing and FLO believe we can serve 9 destinations profitably on a 787 out of SEA and SFO, 2025-2027… I got my fingers crossed, I think it would be pretty cool, I know many of you think it would be terrible though. The AS board believes in one RJ, one NB, and one WB type is the best fleet plan moving forward. They definitely want a deal if they are going to dip their toe in the WB market though.

I’ll call it right now. Not happening. American literally just pulled WB aircraft from Seattle because Alaska couldn’t feed them adequately. Your buddy who tells you this stuff is like all of us, eating popcorn while you spew nonsense.

Also, you do understand we need AA, WN, and UA for a snap up, right? AA and WN aren’t even close. All THREE airlines we need now, would have to have a TA out by say mid July in order for it to allow us to snap. Guess what? Not happening.

I think the math shows that 2 of the 3 need new TAs in place by Sept 1 for us to see higher than $318/hr. It's looking less and less likely. Even when you get a TA there are road shows, a voting period, and then signed with an effective date. That takes time. We're already done with half of May. You're talking 3.5 months before hitting the Sept 1 deadline. Unless 2 of the 3 get AIPs in the next month, I just don't see how the timeline can work out for a Sept 1 deadline snapshot date. I'd be curious to hear your take on it OTZ, it's a time compression game at this point - no?

Why would you want his take on anything? The guy has lost all credibility on this site with baseless predictions and constant ranting about 30 angry Vx pilots.

OTZ, I must ask, where do you get your information from?

This summer is going to fly, we do not have a staffing crisis, a lot of 2X will be paid though. There are FO’s that will make CA wages, but I bet that isn’t fair either. Alaska looks to be on pretty good footing, we are on a great trajectory… but yup doom and gloom, the sky is falling. We will snap to 335ish this fall, but we will still be miles behind everyone else🙄🙄🙄
I’m quite clear on how the seniority system works. The optics of downgrading captains in the current hiring environment will not do Air Group any favors. This was all preventable as well.
