they won’t. By the time I get to my transition class I will have had 3 months off. Been great 😎

what class date are the transitioning pilots getting, just out of curiosity? I’m wondering if they’re going to cancel classes already assigned to new hires and prioritize the Airbus guys..?

see you never been on a 14 hour flight with a kid banging on the screen right behind your head. Seat-back screens are stupid.

I doubt they’ll quit, however, the people who took upgrade in the 4-5 year range, if senior FOs choose to take the upgrades, and the Airbus displacements follow resulting in a lot of downgrades moving the junior captain to the 6-7 year range, those downgrades may choose to leave for United and delta to return to the left seat potentially quicker than they can here.

With all the streaming services, most of the time I download whatever I want to watch off Netflix, HBO, or Apple TV and play it on my PED. If I don’t have shows, then I’ll just login to the Wi-Fi and see what movies they have streaming. Best part about it? I can use my Bluetooth headphones instead of having to plug into a broken 3.5mm headphone jack.

Of course not. It is surprising SFO closed in 3 bids but LA will all close in 1. With an effective date of Oct 1 and starting training as early as July (with a goal of getting the last ones in class by December), it would seem that they wanna pull the bandaid and get everyone through pronto.

Bid is out.

80 SFO CA
25 SEA CA
10 PDX CA
40 LAX CA

So -124 Airbus LAX CA and only 40 Boeing LAX CA? Displacements galore.

seems like they are shrinking LA to grow sfo, bold move cotton let’s see if it pays off

they want to grow CA by shrinking a CA base 🤔

Not as bad as it looks. Not all of them actually want to be in LA, they just followed the bus including folks who live in the bay. And many are overhead staff.

I'd also guess maybe ten early retirements. Including a few who will collect their guppy type and then bail.

You’re right. It’s worse than what it looks.
