It’s not nosey to wonder in a base with zero vacancies, who left and who came in. A base summary page (like every award before this one) showed the pilots who were awarded vacancies, who left and created a proffer spot, and who filled that open spot. It was easy to follow.

But hey, I’ll adapt. Just surprised to see a bid award that didn’t have a base summary. First time I’ve ever seen it this way.

Also easier to make sure there are no mistakes and someone wasn’t awarded out of order with the summery of who came and left.

Dont forget that none of the systems we use or the visibility we have is designed to be pilot user friendly or to be used on anything other than a mainframe computer. After we got rid of eMaestro and went to our own homegrown crew access system(a total disaster) it had almost no pilot usability. The company said unequivocally then that no systems are designed with outside use in mind…..This latest change in “Bid Results” is a classic case of Alaska Airlines tone deafness…

Those are the ones most out of touch with reality and just happy to be here. Glad they got their pensions and then pulled the ladder up for others.

Crewaccess is third party software. It’s not homegrown.

Software like CA is tailored to the user. Alaska chooses which functions/features to implement. It's perfectly fair to hold Alaska accountable for what a pile of whale **** our version of that program is.

Pardon my ignorance of unknown unknowns, but what would make CA less of a pile of whale asterisks? What functions/features make it bad and what functions/features would make it better?
