Who said i’m a new hire? Also, I’ve got plenty of missed Christmases thank you. And tell me what this ‘airline experience’ is you speak of that is supposed to do to me that has somehow made you more special than so many others?

Also look at the DOZENS of instructors that they hired that aren't even pilots at the company, literally last month teaching RJ systems at Mesa/Commutair/etc and now forming the basis for knowledge here?? Pathetic. Virgin America training was way better and instructors at least had time in the plane.

i am VX and transitioned to 737 this year. I had a great experience in training on the 737. Everything in training is spelled out in the syllabus and can be verified in the FH/SH/FOM. All my instructors from systems to OE were veteran alaska pilots.

And that’s a lie many ground instructors at VX weren’t 320 type rated pilots. They were great to work with and worked hard but they weren’t veterans on the 320 in anyway. I remember teaching myself most of the systems/learning along with the instructor.

Only negative feedback I’ve heard is contract instructors or FOFI instructors teaching AA/SWA/DAL/wherever techniques.

If you’re ever in doubt check the books-trust but verify and comeback the next day with questions.

Come to training with a positive attitude, and get in a good study routine.

Only transition guys/gals having any issues are ones with drama going on at home or just don’t prepare at all.

For anyone who has attended the last MTC in Portland, have you received a call/email to schedule a in person interview yet?

It may not hurt to reach out to recruiting as well. Not sure if you got a business card from them. But, put your app in and email them. Hey have a lot of apps and taking initiative in the process won’t hurt. At the very least, send an email thanking them for their time at the MTC and that’ll spark their memory.

I had a one on one with a chief through an internal rec a few days prior to the MTC and still haven’t heard back. I reached out to recruiters and the entire department and not a word back. However my application did go “under review” a few days ago so I’m hoping that’s good news. From what I see on here guys with 5000-10000 hours almost hear from them immediately and anyone with just the mins is on the back burner.

I have heard back from Frontier, Spirit, United, Allegiant JetBlue, and atlas in the same time. My application has been on file for 5 weeks.
