From a FedEx pilot- word is from a buddy that our signing bonus will be computed in a similar way to the Alaska signing bonus. So………how did they compute who gets what with the Alaska signing bonus.

I didn’t know that Alaska had a signing bonus.

I can assure you that you’ll get more than any Alaska pilot got.

This post proves you will complain about anything & everything…

OP…tell us more about this sign on bonus you heard about, cause it’s news to the pilot group here.

  • New pay rates are effective on September 1, 2022, if the contract is ratified by November 1, 2022. In addition to the reach back of new rates, a credit is applied for each month of active service between October 2021 to August 2022 based on a Pilot’s status during that time. For example, a Pilot who held a Captain position for the entire period will receive approximately $33,000 and First Officers will receive approximately $22,000.

How is it possible that you manage to embarrass yourself every single time you post??

OP asked about our signing bonus, aka the bonus we received after signing our TA, and that guy just posted the language that answers OP's question. Are YOU drinking?

Thanks. I guess we are doing something similar here. So for a new hire, it is prorated only for the months they were an active pilot, right? What happens if someone upgraded during that time? Are the months they were an FO at the FO rate and the months they were captain at the captain rate? Seems like a lot of calculations to figure out what everybody gets, but seems very fair.

Just to pile on, that’s literally exactly the discussion here. There’s no need to get defensive when there’s nothing to defend.

I upgraded during ours and received both FO and CA payout for the equivalent months of each.
