You'll know at retirement if you chose correctly. Until then, enjoy the ride when the ride has been good to you.

They must have come to Alaska for all of the growth that’s coming after the need for the LOAs in January and February. 🤣

Sounds like SWA just cut 5% of their flying at the beginning of the year.

Meanwhile AS management seems & has proven that they are taking a different direction, which is much more favorable towards the pilot group than WN is.

I know which one of the two i’d choose currently….

This is the way...

They cut frequency on Tuesday and Wednesday just like every other normal airline does. This has been in the works for months. Formerly, their Sunday through Friday schedule was pretty much identical.
Up until 2 years ago, January and February were extremely slow months at SWA. I suspect we are getting back to the seasonal norms in that regard.

It's the same here as well. That is why they are offering the LOAs.

yeah they are hell bent on not losing money in Q1. Last year in the PBP bonus webcast they hammered how they want to stop losing money in Q1. So Alaska is doing anything it can to save a few bucks in Q1

Replace Seattle with Denver and you've got the emails we'll likely get

I remember twice being stuck in Seattle. Unscheduled overnight. The airport ran out of deicing fluid. I-90 pass was closed for avalanche control.

I remember when travel was seasonal! It was nice being able to non-rev on off days and not having jumpseaters on every leg when working. I like big profit sharing checks but I wouldn't mind having an off-season again.

OTZ you’ve been quiet, I heard there is a 787 order and merger confirmation for November 2024, is your source confirming this as well? Thanks brother
