When I was in CQ it started on Tuesday and it sounded like a HAL Indic class also started on Tuesday or possibly had already started that Monday. I’d plan on a week.

You might get SFO, but it’s being downsized and likely closed in the future. LAX is also shrinking fairly significantly, all the California eggs have been placed in the SAN basket,

This is sad. Guy writes his first post about being hired and starting a class and a couple responses to that are cynics telling him to go to United. A fair guess would be he wasn’t born yesterday and knows United has a hub in SFO and is hiring.

The guy asked how quickly he could get SFO, what should the response be? "Possibly never because it's shrinking and probably going away. Congrats on continuing forever!"? You might as well make sure people understand what they are signing up for. You never know what management is promising them in the interviews.

Remember when management was telling new hires that it will be a 3 year upgrade on the 330? 😂

The answer is, unknown at the moment until we see how this bid shakes out. SFO has 23 FO reductions so if more than 23 FOs bid out, it will create proffer vacancies for SFO FO. The correct answer for him is we will know more on Jan 12 when the award comes out, to see how many proffer SFO vacancies exist.

Welcome! We are glad to have you, and I'm looking forward to flying with you in SFO. You'll get SFO right away.

Heads up from the pilot call. Last planned classes are in February and they plan to keep other CJOs in a pool to possibly start later in the year with unknown timing.

I was working outside when I heard this and didn’t catch if they said a number of hires or if it was the end of February or the beginning. Did they give specifics?
