Not at AS but I’ve heard from friends Q1 is filled and classes/interviews to resume after summer.

someone more informed can deliver better news if they have it.

A lot of us are at AS and we are even more in the dark. Apparently something was mentioned on the last all pilot call but that call has not been posted to teams yet. So it’s difficult to verify. I did listen to the call and they mentioned new hire classes stopping in February. No other details. I could have that wrong and would like to listen to it again. However, that is not possible at the moment.

Since 2024 we are at a 34% replacement rate on attrition. 178 gone and 58 hired as of the latest attrition report. It would be nice to see the replacement rate increase. At least to the rate at which pilots, resign, retire or are terminated. Not to mention actual growth which has not occurred since 2023.

Internal signs are pointing to fall for lots of things. Not sure if this also directly relates to new hire classes, but I am hearing fall, as being a target for lots of internal postings that would directly relate to new hires.

if max gets certified in sept/oct then we will start getting them the spring (on the Oct HA/AS call they said 6 months after certification bc we have hud and won’t take them without the hud) so I image if we get them in march new hires in Nov/dev just all depends when the 10 gets certified

so 10 cert + 6months for our birds

but once they start coming lot of growth 36 added and 0 being retired

During the post Covid hiring boom it was hundreds/year. Now it’s single digits/year.

Inaccurate it was never hundreds a year. And no one has left for UAL, DL this last year not sure about the year before.
