New Hires and Class Dates

I didn’t consider displacements, but there are current vacancies unfilled. Maybe Jan/Feb are for those as well as the Alaska side

My understanding is that they intend on leaving the 717 and 321 vacancies unfilled. Instructors have been told no new hire training for the remainder of the year. Not hiring again until end of 2026 in potential prep for a 787 delivery. If we lose Amazon we probably won't see hiring on our side until well after SLI.

Yeah that’s a real possibility. Training won’t be flat in that scenario as there will be lots of training in displacements.

There will be two waves of “wholly ****” announcements and plans revealed… once after JCBA and again after SLI. I think the poop will be hitting the fan at HA pretty hard after both these milestones. The relative calm right now is leverage for (or against) due to the JCBA.

A class of 10 started on January 12th and only B717 was offered during selection. One full week in Seattle for onboarding and back to Honolulu for training. I believe sims started this week.

330F going away as soon as the AMZN contract allows it, 717 replaced by the 737 as soon as the SLI is finished. Followed by the 321 going away. Can see the 330 pax staying for a while but eventually replaced by the 787.
