This certainly should not surprise anyone.

Heads up from the pilot call. Last planned classes are in February and they plan to keep other CJOs in a pool to possibly start later in the year with unknown timing.

Word is pausing training till Sep/Oct.

The pause is consistent with what they said on the last pilot call.

Paused?! Gross… why?

we have hired for all vaccines listed by the position bids, was 130 total (or around there) which is in line with what about they said they would hire

not sure what the surprise is that’s what they’ve been aging since Q3 of 25. And only 6 planes in 26 which what has been broadcast and goodjet and I have been saying

any q3/4 hiring is based off max 10 certification

if certified in Q3 of 26 36 come in 27

It will be interesting to see the new attrition reports for January and February.

I would image that new hires and such would lag so summer would be more telling

but we have widebody and a healthy order book noting crazy but a consistent 3% a year with retirements ramping up on 2028 accruing to the dashoboard. career outlook here isn’t all doom and gloom (not saying you’re saying that saying in general for people wanting to stay)

I’m still pretty happy and have sunny disposition on the outlook here things are moving 2026 will be slow but it’ll all pick up once the 10 is certified in q3

if it’s not everyone here can dance on my grave and first round on me

Meanwhile, we have not. And Seattle does all the hiring.

Any chance that there are Hawaiian class dates before the resumption of Alaska classes rumored to pick up at the end of the year?

Probably not a large chance. We have no new aircraft coming and are going to be displacing the hnl 787 base to the sea 787 base. No new aircraft and just a few retirements means we will likely have no hiring for the rest of the year.
