He's a line holder and most get 17-18 off as long as you set your credit threshold to 70 hrs and copy your bid sheet. PBS will get you above 70 hrs and stop. People like me set the threshold low, get 17-18 off with 70-75 hrs, and then pickup opentime to build schedule to 90 hrs or more.

Yes, they have min/max limits. 70 hrs min and 95 hrs max. That's just for PBS purposes. Once the schedule comes out, I believe you can add/swap up to 97 hrs credit. But to get 90 hrs or more, you have to bid properly (this time, not copy your bid sheet). Complicated story, but you'll see what it means when you use this version of PBS.

I like many others live in Vegas and commute. I hate paying taxes. And the cost of living is very low. I set my bid threshold to 87 and usually get around 92 awarded or I pick up a turn day somewhere in the month to hit my 92-95 credit. The hours you fly above 80 are paid at 125% so I try to make the most of them.

If I can do well on the interview and get the position I will be stocked. I live about 20 minutes from SFO so hence all the questions about bidding and picking up. Just trying to build a picture of the company.
Thanks for all you replies gents.

Did they close their application window? I saw the link for pilot applications on their website last week while on a trip, was gonna wait until I got home and had my logs in front of me. Now I don't see the link up there anymore...

Yea, when you click on the "Jobs I've applied for" section and the pilot link, it says "Job no longer posted!"...

So I'm guessing it's closed and they've emailed the questionnaire to all those they want to talk further with?

I know that Virgin app said Airbus Type "preferred" but are they like SWA in that you won't get a call if you don't have a type? I applied and didn't get called but I don't yet have 3,000 TT. I only have 2100TT, with 1,700 Multi-Eng Turbine PIC, and I figured that was the main show stopper. Just trying to figure out if it's worth my time even applying next time without a Type.

Cheers!
