At the end of arbitration, will Virgin be using the Alaska contract completely?

Yes. The 2013 contract is being adopted as the JCBA for a 3-yr duration of 2017-2020. The arbitration will be for 3 sections, scope, pay, and retirement. That decision will be out on Oct 29th. Of course the whole thing can't be implemented overnight, but the big stuff like pay should be. There is a scheduling improvement LOA that would try and improve things in Section 25.

Thanks for the info. I just got a November 8th class date, and I'm curious how training pay will work out. I'm prepared for either scenario, but 85 hours at whatever the new pay rate ends up being per the Alaska CBA sure sounds better than $2500 a month. It sounds like nobody is sure so far.

.

Congrats on the class date. The new pay rate should take effect Oct 29 with the arbitration award.

Mostly the same. Lots of Alaska pilots and recruiters were there though. I'd be prepared to answer "Why Alaska?". I think I go that question twice. Just be flexible with your answers. Let me know if I can answer anything else!
