Anyone know if you get a "thanks for trying" email if they decide they don't want you? Or is silence from Alaska similar to the others?

You will eventually get a 'thanks but no thanks' email from Alaska.

I have not received a "thanks for trying" email from the last couple of application windows. Never received a call for interview either. I have just been getting the "please reapply" email for each new window.

They want to see how badly you want it.

I guess it is better than getting a TBNT email.

Of course it is. They play the same game with F/A applicants. How many times are you willing to go to SEA for an interview?

Finally started my application to the FO position last night, but was waiting on one thing before submitting, then today was unable to submit. Thought I missed the opening, but FO was still listed...realized Job ID number had changed from 24540 to 24545 overnight. With the exception of adding "Have you applied for this position in the last 30 days?" everything looked the same. Any ideas why the change? Bonus points for timeliness?...which I guess I didn't earn.

I don't think so. I asked them if getting your app in right away matters at obap and they said no. Just be sure to take your time filling out the application is all. They said if it fills up they repost it and have done that in the past is my understanding from what they told me.

A buddy at Alaska forwarded me the internal email that went out to pilots. It specifically says "Each application is considered on its own merits, as opposed to the date submitted. In other words, content- not timelines- is what matters."

Does anyone know if having a 737 type and experience is a big help on getting an interview or a non factor?
