New bid out... 26 upgrades and 46 new hires. Word is 140ish new hires in 2015.

CassinAK,
Have you heard when the application window will open again? I'm guessing next spring (March?) but I can't find anybody who knows. I've got a good candidate chompin at the bit and I'd like to be able to tell him what to expect.
With this volume of upgrades and new hires (Finally!), I imagine the window will have to open again soon.

140 by June and 180-200 by end of 2015 from BCP. Some of these are already poolies. All subject to change of course...

I haven't heard anything about when the next window will open... I'm sure it will be relatively soon.

APC profile says no 401K, but matching exists. What is the real story here? I guess my question is what retirement plan would a new-hire be under? Thanks!

All newhires receive a company paid 13.5% contribution. There is no company matching. You are vested immediately.

I know this has probably been beat to death but now that I am 737 type rated, I need to ask. Can you still upload your documents even if the pilot hiring window is NOT open? Would it be ok (wise) to go and try to meet a Chief Pilot say in LAX or ANC. I am going to try and attend the fair in Feb if possible but if I can't I would like to explore other options. I am also trying to locate an old friend. Thanks for any information.

BTW, I think Alaska has the coolest uniforms in the business now.

With AS, its ALWAYS wise to build the biggest network of current pilots you can, especially with the 2nd floor gang.
