I'm not. I'm advocating for rational arguments and I think comparisons to overnight package services flying widebodies is too big a reach. The company can poke holes in dumb stuff like that.
Better to insist of an industry leading package based on AS's financial performance. That's hard to argue with. Pretty sure that's what the NC is doing. You can even argue that AS needs better than DL, et al to retain pilots for a guppy career.

We will argue that our peers are Delta and United.
So what are we? Are we a major? Are we an LCC? We're a hybrid of negatives. We've got the pay structure of an LCC, and the outsourcing of a Major. It's truly the worst of both worlds.
We'll need to advocate strongly that we belong in the former.

I know a lot of people that are on the fence waiting for this TA. If it's more of the same, then they'll take their signing bonuses and head for the door. I hope the company understands that.

DL and UA are offering deferred class dates, 6-12 months IIRC. I think the company got a whole bunch of PRIA requests over the last several months, may have had something to do with the attitude adjustment. Like I said, fear.

I expect that you'd be content with a bag of dog sh*t.

I never wrote this. You have a repeated history on APC of making up your own words, and then inserting quotes with other usernames to make it look like they wrote it. It's hard to believe that a 45 year old man behaves like this.

Life is short, so why do you want to live in misery when literary everywhere is hiring anyone that can fog a mirror. Honestly you and the company would be better off without each other. And don’t give the canned answer of, I have too much seniority when the big 3 have upgrades happening in 1yr…

Serious question….why don’t you just leave and go work elsewhere? You’re clearly absolutely miserable, have no faith in the MEC, or that the company will agree to any meaningful positive changes.

I'll tell you before you pull a muscle trying figure it out: You'd be left with an airline comprised of only all the other milquetoast schmucks who are happy to go with the flow, eat what's put on their plate, resign to being
"Love it or leave it" is and always has been a total fallacy, just like the rest of your post. No, a 1 year upgrade in JFK isn't a good enough reason for someone with seniority here to leave. No, not everyone is able to commute. And NO, I don't expect you to be able to comprehend why it's possible to be dissatisfied and demand better conditions but be unable to simply quit but you should give it a shot.
