I hate to burst your bubble, but there ten A320’s airborne at this very moment. Put the koolaid down. Alaska has never hit their pilot hiring targets in good times.

Default Getting Hired at Alaska

Greetings,

Newly considering Alaska as a future employer. I do not know anything about their hiring process. After applying online, what are the hurdles to jump? Interviews? Online? In person? Testing? What is a typical timeline? Interested in recently hired folks' personal experiences. Can anyone help answer?

Many thanks....

Hey. I applied in May. Attended PAPA meet n greet in July. Got the interview invite about a week later. There’s an online assessment before you interview. Interviewed last week of August and same day CJO. They positive space you out there and pay for your hotel. Feel free to lmk if I can answer any more questions.

Good luck!

What’s the new hire mix these days for 737 vs. Airbus? Given that the Airbus fleet is being gradually phased out, is there any benefit to flying the Airbus at AS beyond a more comfortable cockpit?
