so I assume by status quo you mean that it’ll be done through the Hawaiian side?

Would that be the same Kyle who puts out a DHS warning about domestic terrorism after Jan 6th. (with no evidence of any threats.). But says nothing when one ethnic group is getting beat up in the streets by another ethnic group in every city we fly to? And also says nothing when crime has a dramatic increase less than a half a mile from hotels in our system.

That Kyle?

Depending on your "Eagerness" you could consider checking out the HA website for hiring. On their forum they said they might open the window for hiring outside the pool in June. Eventually you could wind back up at AS. Likely you'd get a seniority number long before any new hire at AS. However, you would have to live in or commute to, Hawaii during the "churn" of JCBA and SLI before you could move back to the mainland (aside from the Amazon thing if they hire for that).

application window will open June 1st on the Hawaiian hiring portal. Interview dates will be the last two weeks of June and first two weeks of July. This hiring along with the current pool will be adequate to staff until SOC. After that the hiring will be merged with the Alaska Hiring process.

Just finished having a beer with a buddy who was in ground school this week. A couple of items that were said by management at lunch.
- in 2026 more than 90 departures out of SAN. The base is going to happen.
- Don't be surprised when we see more 737 Cargo planes.
- not sure about interisland replacement yet.
- Expect to see 737 with HA paint and absolutely expect 787 in AS paint.
- There will be a/c that have a hybrid paint job. Not sure what that looks like but planes that they can sub in if something goes out of service.
- 2 more 787 this year (June and August) then more next year starting in January.

I'm just passing on the info.

It’s funny how the message seems to change, a couple ground schools ago the word was no San Diego base.

It certainly looks to be trending that way, at some point it will be a significant economic point for the company given all the departures and layovers... the hotel bill during COMICON alone must be jaw dropping.

At one point the rumor was not until after SLI.
