I hear ya, all the more reason not to aid and abet management. They are that brazen to rape the contract, still better to resist anyhow rather than sit back and enjoy it.

All airlines and unions operate that way.

In the scenario you mention I believe that would be a major dispute and we would go on strike.

The Union and pilots would file an injunction and obtain a Temporary Restraining Order. That’s a “No-Brainer”! Even scumbag Maury won’t try this stupid move as a court would rule against him in very short order.

Two different levels of contract violations when you’re talking about furloughing out of order and not paying overtime correctly. One’s excessive speeding all over it which they do all the time because they can and the other is capital murder.

Typical Maury. He wants the shock and awe of the gut punch. That is his way of managing your expectations. It gets everybody all riled up and you become indignant but, like it or not, he gets into your mind and plants a stake. That can alter outcomes.

His entire modus when I was there was to overstep his bounds until he's pushed back into his corner. He'll do this with everybody. The government, his employees, the cities he serves. It's an audacious, confrontational manner and it yields results. How you counter this will determine the future course of the pilot workgroup at Allegiant.

A quote from Gattaca:

"You want to know how I did it? This is how I did it, Anton: I never saved anything for the swim back."

In the end, we are going to abide by the contract or whatever MOU is agreed to and there will probably be some short term furloughs Oct 1. I’m sure they want to avoid zeroing out the stock in a bankruptcy.

If you work here, review our contract and tell me what it says about Domicile and Position in the displacement language.

The company wasn't asking, they were telling the union what they plan to do. And yes it would mean nuclear war.

Force Majeure.....Trump emboldened anti-worker courts & judges.....those so-and-so pilots have guaranteed jobs ‘till Oct. don’t they?
Agree with what you say maybe not a slam-dunk tho.....seen too many sure-things go awry....

That’s why I laugh when I hear pilots agreeing to help management. They got plenty enough money to pay their scumbag HarrisonFord lawyers.

I get what you're saying but when you keep b!tching about their law firm, you're showing them it gets under your skin which justifies it to them. Maybe play your cards a little closer to your chest.
