Yeah, this place is such a joke.

In all fairness to both sides, there is a blackout period before mergers are completed where major announcements cannot be made. No idea if this is why it’s being announced Tuesday when our board votes Wednesday.. We’ll find out soon enough and if it’s not a complete deal, I hope the smoke starts rising!

Both boards already voted back on January 11 to approve the merger. You’re thinking of the shareholder votes most likely and those both occurred yesterday and both approved.

Yeah I had the same thought everything finalizes on the 13th but we are having an announcement on the 12th. Seems to me they would wait until after the 13th if it was merger related. I believe they are working on the fine print of the bridge agreement and they don’t want rumors getting out because then everyone is complaining and negotiating in public. We will see what Tuesday brings, hopefully it’s a TA.

I agree. This is really quite the watershed moment. In my relatively small circle there is a group of senior pilots that stated they will bail. Not sure of my plans but if it’s more of the same I think this place is toast. If no contract, great news for CFI’s looking for a nice type rating I guess.

True, It would seem that that at least indicates possibly a deal is done. Maybe its just finishing up the language or final approval by the board. Guessing its all about trying to keep small leaked info from starting public opinion without the entire thing. The merger is a done deal so that probably has nothing to do with the delay.

For this much silence it is shocking unless something real happened. There was so much expectation for last week. It cannot be same old same old “progress, and we worked hard” Union needs to deliver some real news.

I just finished a trip. FO showed me a text which allegedly came from someone “in the know” saying that it will be another “progress was made, more dates to come” update.

Has anybody heard this?
