In all fairness to both sides, there is a blackout period before mergers are completed where major announcements cannot be made. No idea if this is why it’s being announced Tuesday when our board votes Wednesday.. We’ll find out soon enough and if it’s not a complete deal, I hope the smoke starts rising!

Yeah I had the same thought everything finalizes on the 13th but we are having an announcement on the 12th. Seems to me they would wait until after the 13th if it was merger related. I believe they are working on the fine print of the bridge agreement and they don’t want rumors getting out because then everyone is complaining and negotiating in public. We will see what Tuesday brings, hopefully it’s a TA.

Yeah I had the same thought everything finalizes on the 13th but we are having an announcement on the 12th. Seems to me they would wait until after the 13th if it was merger related. True, It would seem that that at least indicates possibly a deal is done. Maybe it’s just finishing up the language or final approval by the board. Guessing it’s all about trying to keep small leaked info from starting public opinion without the entire thing. The merger is a done deal so that probably has nothing to do with the delay.

For this much silence it is shocking unless something real happened. There was so much expectation for last week. It cannot be same old same old “progress, and we worked hard” Union needs to deliver some real news.
