Default G4: Worth it for a 141 CFI?

Let's say I'm hypothetically a wide-eyed bushy tailed CFII/MEI at one of the Allegiant Accelerate 141 Partners....what's the good bad ugly on G4?

I like the bases and routes, typed in A320/Potential B737, only 6 month training contract commitment, they pay for ATP-CTP/type rating, etc.

Not that other places don't offer some of those things but I wanted to ask the brain trust here on APC.

Thank you in advance!

It depends...if you are able to move to a junior base where you aren't abused on reserve (ergo, avoid FL) and are willing to just grind it out until something better comes along, then sure. People who can hold a line actually enjoy the job here (within reason, the actual job is fine, it's a few people in the back and most of the people above your paygrade that make things miserable. But for a young pilot, you are leaving WAY too much money on the table by thinking of staying here long term.

Abused on reserve meaning what exactly? Which bases are the best for a new-hire to get?

Good lord yes take that job. Get a type rating, some real world experience, log 500 hours then go where you want to spend your career.

Seriously… what substantively better opportunity do you think would come your way at 1000 hours?

Why come to Allegiant? Regional airlines pay better than us and offer GUARANTEED jobs with legacy carriers which also offer better pay, benefits, and travel than we do.

One thing, Allegiant is not paying any $200k bonuses like the regional airlines are. If you go to a regional you can essentially have your school debt wiped out with the bonuses.

Agree with above regional will offer a possible signing bonus & better 1st year pay & a path to a legacy which is your ultimate goal. At your experience level you want to build flight time which at this point is more important than flying 15 hours/month as an Allegiant reserve FO.
