I read all the FL base info, but not much about FLL
Any chance of FLL for a new hire?
How do the FL bases rank, in order of seniority?
Where are the A 320 going?
I really like the idea of being home every night, makes waiting for the upgrade go much faster...
Thanks for the input alle-giants

Hiring for Florida is all we know. FLL unlikely but things can change.
SFB and PGD junior
A320 to SFB and PIE
Upgrades are over 5 years now and newhires could be much longer.
Hiring 12 for August and maybe 12 or so in the winter. You will be very junior for a very long time.

Being home every night is nice if you live in or want to live Florida. Otherwise I would be wary of Allegiant because morale is very low. Like any other airline if there is growth or if one is senior life is good. However, the overall compensation package at Allegiant is markedly lower than any other comparable airline and the company and the union are making near zero progress in contract negotiations.

Thunderpig, I think you would be better served by a like carrier such as spirit or jetblue. Those two offer plenty of florida options. Spirit has a much better upgrade time. I think upgrade here will be comparable to jetblue, if not worse. Management is happy as can be with near zero growth. Jetblue would at least offer a better set of work rules.
The contract negotiations will get ugly. Lots of growing pains coming. Do you want to be here for that?

Any body on the inside have a tally on the count of resumes received since the start of the hiring window?

Spirit doesn't like me since I have a 737 type already...I have no interest in SWA, it was a free ATP and type due to GI Bill. JetBlue isn't hiring right now...if I am lucky enough to get a call from Allegiant and domicile where my children live, it's worth slogging a bit more.
Spirit is hiring in droves, and I think with this latest announcement from Delta, coupled with the new rest rules, I think we'll see Spirit start to aggressively hire.

Why do you think Spirit doesn't like you? I have a 737 type, got it at Higher Power with GI Bill. I was asked about it in the interview, including would I leave for SWA if they called, but it was easily explained away.

No one can reasonably exercise some type of judgment in the short or long term between LCCs since everything is always so volatile. Thinking that Allegiant isn't as "good" as another LCC particularly for a guy looking to finally break into the 121 world and not being based in EWR or DTW, seems a bit short-sighted...
