My guess is optimistic for our new hires. I’m sure you and the rest of the new hires will picket when the time comes. The level, depth and speed of information these days will mimic what happened when those two limp d!#k$ that crossed spirits line.

If you come to Allegiant I'm sure you've read all these threads and know the score.

Like anything else in life you get what you put into it. If you try your best and help toe the line to make this a better place then you'll fit in nicely and be appreciated. If you just do the minimum and ignore all the union emails then you will have a hard time here.

I hope that answers your question. You are coming to an airline on the brink of a strike. You simply don't have the luxury of ignoring that.

Please don't take this wrong, but most forums seem to be a place where people only see the negative. Can someone help me balance this with sharing some positives?
And I agree, it would be very nice & appreciated if someone could post a schedule of a junior, mid-level, and senior fo.
Thanks! I'm sure majority of the people at Allegiant are great people who like everywhere else want things better.
I will give you a positive. I am positively sure you are entering a war zone. There will be nowhere to hide and no way to ignore it. If we win, this place has great potential. If everyone goes home and just wants to be, "left out of the issues...", we will suffer severe long term misery.

What is the logic behind not having consecutive days off? Is it due to legality conflicts if you fly a block of days in a row or just the company's way of making the schedules?

It has a lot to do with that we as a company fly very little if any flying on Tue, Wed, Sat. at least out west. Then on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday on many weeks and months at least with current staffing 100% of pilots in base have to work to cover all the trips and have reserve.

So take something like getting weekends off. Unless you are bidding in the top one or two in your base you have no chance.

You really get no weekends off at allegiant? Is that something that can be fixed with your next contact or is that just an opertational thing?

It's an operational thing. We really only fly 3.5 - 4 days a week.

Novembers schedules are the worst I've seen. Senior guys with 8+ single day off blocks. Ridiculous.

Every month I think next month's schedule can't be worse than this month's schedule. They always find a way to make it bad. I really enjoy the random reserve days thrown in to my schedule that I didn't ask for.
