This is important to remember and reference per our manuals.

Often scheduling will call and leave a voicemail and say you have 90 minutes from the voicemail to get to the plane. That is incorrect.

Reference GOM 11-1-3-5 section K paragraph 1.

10 hours rest required. Minimum of 11 scheduled.
I've been scheduled less than 11.

Edit: I haven't been "scheduled" to be less than 11 but have gotten less then 11 due to previous flight being a late return.

Nothing you can do about that except possibly contact them if unable to get 8 hours uninterrupted sleep.

I haven't had to do that yet but it is nice to know that regardless of commute to and from home you can be assurred of eight hours rest.

Didn't quite follow your last sentence. What do you mean, hinges on 702, not 404?

Could a new-hire today expect any movement in pie? I realize that it might be "maturing" as a base and that progression there may be slowing. Is there any validity to that thought process?

It's one of the more senior bases. There were some spots for new hires about 6 months ago but nothing since and little movement. This latest bid could see some movement there.

Another bad news Allegiant story out of Florida.....

Allegiant investigates rough landing, cause of deflated tires on plane from Orlando - Orlando Sentinel

Allegiant investigates rough landing, cause of deflated tires on plane from Orlando

(excerpt)
Feb 4, 2016
Allegiant Airlines officials are investigating what caused two tires on a plane to deflate Wednesday night when it landed at Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown, Pa.

For Allegiant officials, the incident is just another on a list of investigations stemming from safety issues or concerns that have affected flights leaving Orlando Sanford International Airport.

In December, four flights that left Orlando Sanford were diverted for mechanical-related issues, including engine troubles, an "indicator light" coming on, and abnormal smell in one plane and a problem with a de-icing system on another.

None of the 158 people aboard Wednesday's flight were injured, according to Allegiant officials, who said the plane's tires deflated after it landed.
.....
Allegiant's pilots have publicly battled corporate leaders for more than a year about the safety and maintenance schedule of its fleet. Pilots have repeatedly raised questions about the safety of the craft they fly.

It doesn't really matter. Safe to say the average ALG customer does not read the news anyway. They found 158 people looking to fly cheaply from Sanford to Allentown on this night.... they'll find some more tomorrow.

Thanks for the Info! Is it safe to say that the base isn't growing much, and that career progression there would be slow?

Vegas area code, Atlanta area code. Meaning if there is an impediment to hiring flow in that direction, it likely wasn't conceived in ATL.
