They are not hiring for the 757, which is going away soon. Management has stated as recently as last month that all new-hires will be for the Airbus, around 10 per month, for the rest of 2016. The June class just started yesterday.

Of course this will probably change. It is hard to believe with all the transitions and upgrades as well as people leaving on the MD-80 that they will not need to hire anyone else into the MD-80. But that's the plan.

I have read the forums and have a few questions;

Is the 757 still being operated? If so what are its bases? What are the chances of being awarded the 75 as a newhire?

How are things in general at Allegiant?

Thanks
You by chance go to an meet and greet ? Or just simply applied ?

There will be MD80 classes in the fall.

Does picking up open time pay above guarantee? ie you are on reserve and will likely only fly 40 hours for the month, is there any value in picking up open time?

Open time on a day off pays above guarantee.

Default PPSK

If you get PPSK for a trip but don't break 70hrs, does that pay above guarantee?

That's where you really make your money

$20/HR as long as you're above 70 and your per diem

Also you have to remember that if you pick up open time, that time does not count towards your 70 hour guarantee, ergo, still no DH pay.
