AA Class Drops

12 month upgrade ain’t too shabby either. Still pays more than right seat of the 73/bus for a few years. And the amount of money to be made for 30 minute flights is silly. This month I grabbed 25 hours for 3 flights less than 35 minutes. 98 hours 8 nights away from home.(That’s low, 126 credit was highest I saw w 5 fos over a c-note) As long as you don’t mind ground hog day at work shuttle flying. My crystal ball says AA gets more 100 seat aircraft. There was a reason they flew the Dash8s for so long. they just pump out money at a very low operating cost.

I am not sure it’s true but a rumor was that our highest paid pilot was a 190 Captain. Not sure if that is possible unless it is a Check Airman getting 777 Captain pay.
I think most that bid off get withheld which allows them to get the higher pay. Many opportunities for overtime while at the higher rate.

Would be nice to have a much larger fleet of the 195's. And maybe A321's for the larger stations. The 737 is such a POS from a pax perspective. Hot, cramped, just horrible. And we have something like 300 of 'em. Ugh.
US Air flew D8s because they didn't have any money to replace them lol. And their route structure kinda made sense. Plus oil was a lot higher.

FWIW Isom has repeatedly said they want 319s not 190s. I don't think we will be buying any. They really want to simplify the fleet structure. But hey at least it's more Airbus and not 737s.

That's so funny, I've heard this "gentlemen flying" thing or "gentlemen's airplane" in relation to the bus, 73, and 76. Now 80, too. Will someone please explain to me what it actually means?!
