As far as schedules go, which is better? LGA bus or LGA 737?

If you want PHL then E190 is the quickest way and you can bid off to the 320 later.
Ok, I stand corrected, maybe 2 vacancy bids. But I’m betting it starts to get new hires again this year. And overall, it’s a Jr base for a 2014 (and later probably) new hire. Not NY jr but in the top 3 (or bottom 3 if you will). Disclosure, the way I look at seniority is my relative percentage in each base, not the seniority of the Jr pilot there. Talking A320 only, can’t speak to 73 or 76. It’s the most Jr group 4 base for F/O’s.

So bottom line, if you live near Philly and are happy there, you’re in a good spot.

I agree if you live near Philly and want to stay there it won't be that long. For everyone else, here are the seniority it takes to hold all the 737 and 320 bases. For now you can pretty much get S80 to DFW or E190 to PHL at any time but both planes are going away within 18 months.

DFW - 14013
CLT - 14378
BOS - 14453
ORD - 14482
PHL - 14570
PHX - 14612 - New hires awarded in class this week
MIA - 14779
DCA - 14800
LGA - 15018 - New hires awarded in class this week
LAX - 15021 - New hires awarded in class this week

This only matters if your a short pilot..... 6’2” or taller must go bus. Trips be darned your comfort is worth the bus.

Any idea on when the vacancy awards will be posted?

The preliminary usually comes out between the 19th and 21st of the month give or take. It will be posted to aapilots and sent via a HI6. The final is usually a week later, with minor changes (if any).

Schedules will probably be a wash, but 737 looks more junior. I’d base my decision on where you want to be.

LGA? Leaning 73. (More jr, but the bus is a nicer ‘office’)
CLT? Go bus.
ORD? Go 73.
Etc....

Thanks...I think I would like MIA eventually. But depends on the easiest commute.

Sorry about this -- new to the forum and trying to look ahead to applying in the next year...
So I understand this - The lower the number means the MORE senior you have to be? So... to get DFW in 737 or A320, then you need to be 14013 or LOWER. What is aircraft are flying out of LAX right now? What about DFW?

Thanks in advance for any tips in deciphering all of this...
