I've found that as time goes on places that deliver are decreasing. They either stopped altogether or subcontract it to somebody like grubhub. Meaning that you think you are getting it delivered directly from them but it is actually a grubhub driver delivering it. Even some pizza places are doing this now. I suggest downloading and getting familiar with food delivery apps such Uber Eats, Grubhub, Doordash, etc. If budget is an issue, look at Amazon Fresh which has very reasonable prices to deliver groceries. Also you may have a person or two in class willing to do grocery runs, but I wouldn't count on that during your full time there.

Unless you are staying 60 miles outside Fargo, ND then you are able to get delivery through one of these apps. Never had an issue on an overnight with delivery, and that includes DFW. Some hotels may not allow delivery to the rooms, but you can always meet them outside the lobby.

Yes forever. It is a major problem with our contract that you can thank Bob Crandall and the APA (in the 80’s) for. It might never be fixed, because there are too many here who lived under it and don’t understand that it’s not industry standard, also many who don’t even know that this is how it’s done. It has improved a little, because at LAA, your seniority used to be based on class completion as well, so guys would bid a crappy commute to crappy equipment just to get done before others in their class and be senior to them.

What is the typical projected date to finish on paper in the event there is a delay?

thank you for the reply. Typically what is the length of the proposed end date for training once the equipment bid comes out?

I知 trying to get an idea on the new hire training footprint.
I think I have pieced the entire foot print from previous post but just wanted to double check. Are these time frames still somewhat accurate?

Day 1- Wednesday assigned equipment.
Day 2- Dinner with the spouse. (Can someone give more information on time and general location? Or how far out do we get this information? I知 trying to get some child care lined up.)
Day 3-9- Finish up indoc.
Home Study course for 3-4 weeks.
Ground training- 4 on 2 off 5 on. (When do we get our schedule for ground and SIM training?)
SIM training- I would assume something similar.
OE- I知 hearing there is a back log on this so another 4-6 weeks to complete.
International training - if needed.

I知 not really concerned about the pay. I知 just trying to plan a few birthdays for my kids that will be inside the training footprint.

day 1 of indoc when you bid for base and equipment you will also bid for a scheduled start and end date for sims. Most of my class are starting within a few days of scheduled start date. It痴 about 2 months from end of indoc to sims

Day 1 is also dinner with spouse unless something changed very recently. It値l be at your hotel and it痴 like 6pm or so. Sim schedule is 5 on 2 off and it flows directly from your 2 weeks of procedure trainer or whatever they call it at AA. OE wait seems to be only 1-2 weeks now.
