Yeah, you'll definitely need to recheck if connecting to Jetblue.

The gate agent at the airport can fix it for you so your bag goes where you need it.

Note that I said “can” not “will”. It’s a crapshoot as to whether you land on a gate agent willing to do that extra 30 seconds of work…

Also a crapshoot that what the gate agent does actually works when going from one airline to another with checked bags (from experience). But yeah, this is the kind if thing gate agents should be able to fix.

I don't think I explained myself well. The non-stop flight has been outsourced to B6. So now in order to get home on an A3, I have to make two separate bookings and connect via another AA hub.

Thanks anyway. I'll try to figure it out at the AA counter, or jumpseat on B6... It's ridiculous that the company can't simply provide me with a positive space home. Between that and the Atrium, it's kind of a rough start for a "legacy".

I've had a gate agent combine to A3s to one PNR in the past so it can be done.

What happened at the Atrium? Have no clue about connecting A3 flights, never had to do it. I do know that you most likely can't have a bag check through from AA A3 to JB which your original statement sounded like.

How did you do your A1 to training? Wouldn’t it be essentially the same process?

It's a dump, to put it nicely.

There is a direct flight from where I live to DFW, but no direct flight from JFK (doing my base indoc there). The booking was handled by the company as I wasn't on property yet.

The ticket counter agent can fix that. Give them the flight number and they can fill in the tag all the way. You can’t do it on the kiosk, so you’ll have to stand in line.
