The leadership at DA has stated that’s the only real area for meaningful growth in the future. In contrast, I suspect American will likely end up code-sharing away as much international as possible while retiring 777s and replacing them with the 787s on order.

You are sounding more and more like cargodog. I know (right or wrong) AA/APA told you to pound sand. It’s beginning to sound like a vendetta.

The irony of what he's saying is Delta is all on board with JVing all their WB flying away. He's just like cargodog... either AA told him TBNT or he made the decision to go to DAL thinking its the promise land and found the grass isn't greener and that his future senority is **** there. 😂

It's funny how many guys on The Line and BTL seem obsessed with Delta, but here we have a Delta guy who just can't let AA go. Kinda sad and pathetic like the guy who just can't get over the girl who dumped him in high school and is still whining about her to his buddies at the bar 10 year later when he's married to an even hotter chick with money.

All doom and gloom for American, but it’s a wait and see with Delta? Hypocrisy much?

Decided to jump ship from Allegiant did we?

I’m not doom and gloom for AA. Anything that negatively impacts AA will likely impact the rest of the industry too. And I think your airline is going to transform itself more than others in the coming years due to your management and due to poor representation from APA.

I never had AA. I gave up my flow bonus and paid back another bonus to leave for a better airline and I don’t regret it at all. I have a lot of knowledge of AA, your management, and APA though. And I enjoy talking airline/labor/prognosticating stuff in the same way that some people enjoy talking football. I think we all do to some extent because we’re on a forum for it.

My future seniority is actually pretty good. I’ll retire in the top 1,000 here at DAL. With our current widebody fleet count I’ll be able to hold widebody CA for the last 6-7 years of my career if I wish.

My seniority at AA would have been close to retiring in the top 500 but that was prior to AA hiring 200+ /month. And the contract at Delta is far far superior than AA. My QOL and pay are better than my buddies at both AA and UAL. Overall I’ll make a lot more money and have far better QOL/more days off at DAL. So yea… The grass is greener (for me). There are certainly things I dislike about DAL compared to AA, but they aren’t contract/pay/seniority.
