I’ve been hearing that rumor for a long time. Our customer service can obviously improve, but how can we ever match Delta on a cost basis? They contract everything out, we don’t, and everyone on property is unionized. I’m ready for a change too, if nothing else to clean up our image, but I’m just skeptical of what can actually be accomplished, maybe I’ve been in the military too long and am jaded.

ooohh, Be careful what you wish for. It would be interesting to see what Anderson would do here. But isn't he also an Axe Man? I think that, despite our headaches with Parker in the past, he is what we (and the BOD) need at AA right now. He (and his businesses) thrives during time of crisis. That's what he's good at, and so far, it looks like he's steering AA in a better direction during this pandemic.

Agreed ... with RA at the helm AA might just change their CapEX...

...I hear there is an oil refinery and a bunch of cheap MadDogs for sale that he might jump all over (again)!

If Parker pulls us through this with zero furloughs, gets debt under control and we see a decent contract....
RA can pound sand and I’ll be a Parker fan. He seems to be doing right under covid.

Domestic flying appears to be recovering much faster than these analysts anticipate. TSA numbers are going up 25% week over week and are already 14% of 2019 comparables. It is how quickly international flying resumes that will determine the speed of (and chances for) economic rebound for UAL, DELTA. and AMERICAN. A lot of that will depend upon decisions made in other countries. No way to predict that really. Right now it is anybody’s guess.

So like I said before, you don't know. Neither do I. Nobody does and that's okay.

yup, you and everyone else says this at some point on every thread under every airline. No one is claiming to know, we are all just discussing and hypothesizing. I for one enjoy it and like to know what my peers are thinking, its a little therapeutic and nice to know you arent in a boat out to sea all by yourself. No need to keep stating the obvious OVER AND OVER again. Ps. i dont know whats going to happen 😁

Default Updated article on AA Bankruptcy Chances

https://seekingalpha.com/article/434...st-to-go-under

Lots of charts and numbers, very critical of AA management. Basically saying that without Government intervention AA has an extremely high chance of having to file Chapter 11.
