Well, in their eyes, it was just an asset that the insurance took care of. Unfortunately, no one in corporate really cares until people get hurt or worse.

I know the guy, have flown with him many times, and spoke with him at length about this when I randomly encountered him during a layover at OGG. He was back on the line by then and ultimately NOT blamed for this. I can tell you that he’s an excellent pilot. If it could happen to him, it can happen to me and to all of you.
The people who actually have all the data cleared him, so anybody who mentions poor technique without being privy to the actual data simply has zero credibility.

Wait, are you comparing an unnecessarily aborted Takeoff INITIATED AT 50’+ feet to wind shear event that occurred going into the flare? Hmmm. And this is the same thing to you? And remind me again which one of those airplanes “crashed”? Lol. Not really a solid effort, kid.
