FedEx's problem is that they saw massive growth and revenue during the corona hysteria which has now dried up as people have come to their senses. Also their delivery network is a dumpster fire with all their ground services contracted out to the lowest cost providers who couldn't give a hoot about the company's brand. Unless you're shipping an overnight envelope to a business, they're literally the worst package delivery service out there. That's why they are suffering.
FedEx isn't indicative of this segment of the industry. Pilots should stop trying to use it as some bellwether.
I feel bad for all of those who left a legacy to go there chasing the money.

Hey, I’m glad AA is doing well. And I’m glad the airline industry is - thus far - more robust than the economy as a whole. And inflation appears to be improving at Lear a little as well. Even so, to the extent they will be refinancing their debt at higher interest rates they’ve got some headwinds, and the Fed is still talking higher interest rates but it looks like AA may well successfully avoid the worst case scenario.
