I didn’t think about CLT. That is very good info so thank you for that. Can anyone tell me the DOH for the most junior line holder in Miami?

Thanks!
A 35 year old hired 3/29/2023:

hits 80% in 2026

hits 50% in 2033

hits 20% in 2046

retires at about 900

we still hire a lot of people older than you

Plus those numbers could drop IF we actually grow the fleet, 2000 or more new hires a year in 2023/24/25/26 is the current plan.

Will AA be recruiting at Oshkosh this year? If so, what does that typically look like? Just swing by in casual clothes and chat with a recruiter? The regionals have long done impromptu interviews and CJO’s at stuff like this, wonder if it will ever get to that point with the legacies.

Different question: Does retaking a CQ MV necessitate you checking the "Have you ever been removed from flight status, voluntarily or involuntarily, or failed flight training of any type, or failed any check ride?" box? I would think flunking an LOE would, but not sure about the MV. I don't have any training failures but CQ at my current airline is coming up and got me curious, even though I don't personally have any concerns about it.

Yes. CQ MV is a portion of your recurrent training footprint and is ultimately an evaluation. Even those with Part 141 stage check failures must answer yes to this question. Also, always better to disclose everything and then be relieved if they tell you they are not concerned with it, rather than the other way around.

Yes. If you have to re-attempt an MV, ie failed the first time, that checks that box. Better to own up and you'll be fine, try to sweep it under the rug...get pulled from training and fired. Good luck.

some may not believe I’m posting this BUT:

Would it be crazy to consider leaving Delta for AA? Currently an hour south of PHL, driving close to 3 hours to NYC. 26 years old sitting around 85% at Delta. I think if I make the move now my seniority will be very similar to AA due to the large retirements you have.

How long have you been at Delta? If it hasn't been long, I don't think you'd be crazy at all. Just know that, at your age, you would be very unlikely to get PHL in class. You also would probably be seat locked out of PHL for a year and a half because the 737 usually goes junior in class and there is no 737 base at PHL at this time. However, you could still do NYC, or even DCA with a little seniority, during that time and then chill the rest of your career at PHL.

So is a two hour gain on your commute worth thousands to you?? Or you could move two hours north, still close enough to PHL if you have some kind of ties there and keep enjoying better QOL.
