Just like younger people tend to vote more liberal as they get older their taste and preferences change, as they get more established in a better paying career with a family. Like my Granddad always said “If you are 20 and conservative you don’t have a heart but if you are 40 and liberal you don’t have a brain.” A 20 year old today will have different priorities when picking an airline then he will in his 30-40s.

Well on an unrelated note I was thinking of bidding 73 for Miami and moving to Fort Lauderdale for my first 2 years and see where everything goes from there. I know Covid screwed everything up but what was the average time to hold a line in MIA. What does a typical line and schedule look like?

I know we added multiple daily flights from FLL to LAX, JFK, BOS, and PAP in response to JetBlue’s entrance into MIA. Did you hear of further adds coming?

NK guy here… your absolutely right… they (we) tried that in DFW when we were much smaller and just a rectal itch to AA…AA manipulated gate space and we seen ZERO growth there in years…I don’t foresee this being profitable or an area of long term growth for NK… but what do I know? Only that space became an issue at FLL. Seems to me however that AA has a loyal market following in MIA especially to Latin America

But after this week's collapse, not sure Spirit will really be a threat to anyone for a while.

1 month from now and no one will even remember this NK meltdown. 6 months from now, and the people actually stranded in this will be booking another NK ticket to vacation.

They tried calling in ticket agents today in their larger stations. More than 65% of them would not answer the phone or told them that they quit.

AA has had a meltdown all summer long. Glass house…. Spirit will be just fine.

Spirit will survive this, I agree. But it took a lot out of their bite at a very critical time. It will take a couple weeks to get things back in full swing.
