Default MIA base questions ?

Hi guys & gals , I have some questions indirectly related to the MIA base.

1) How long does Envoy plan to hold on to the 145

2) Will the 175's go to MIA soon

3) Any word on the 90 other options for the 175

4) Also will the Republic flying soon go to Envoy ?

Thanks in advance

1. For the foreseeable future.

2. Not anytime soon.

3. 4 of 90 coming in a couple of months. Beyond that, no word as of yet.

4. Some MIA Republic flying will be transitioning to Envoy over the next few months. As far as Republic leaving MIA altogether, not anytime soon.

As far as 4 is concerned, the only flying we will lose at Republic is the stuff that would be better served with a 50 seater. The Caribbean and long Gulf Coast flights that predominantly use EOW will stay with us for now, with some destinations being confirmed with us through the end of 2019. And what flying we do lose out of MIA is being replaced with new routes or routes that were previously served by 50 seaters.

Even though Envoy will say "they are working on getting their planes EOW", it's not that simple. Envoy would have to go through a thorough and lengthy audit process, file a lot of paperwork and have manuals rewritten and approved, get the aircraft certified, etc before that could happen.

So while our routes might change a little, our size in MIA is currently not expected to shrink at all.

Pretty much exactly how I would answer your questions. If you want the MIA base, you should bid the 145, even if MIA 145 isn't available as an option in your class. You will get MIA within a few months, possibly even before you finish training. 145 MIA will be around for the foreseeable future.
