AA no longer operates LGA-BOS. Taken over by JetBlue effective January.

I suppose this can be done, but with my luck, I'd be in my 1st class seat from BOS to EWR and they announce an hour long ground stop. But, hey I saved the $17 subway and NJT fare.

QOL at AA? Not good. The best way I can sum it up is this....... guys are punching out early in droves, some as early as late 50's. Things are the worst I've ever seen here and nobody thinks the recent changes are going to make things any better. Recently one of the guys who would have retired almost #1 left a year early. If it's that bad for the senior guys you can imagine how bad it is for the junior pilots. Think...... mid pack regional airline.

I only did it when the weather was good, worked like a charm. Prob not a good idea on bad weather days

Ah, here comes the hyperbole train.

How did their QOL go down? What was given up, when and why?

The metrics say very few guys are leaving early…. That future #1 that left at 63/64 probably had enough money to retire at 55. Probably able to hold 767 CA since 40

I've got a few FO friends who have interviews or CJOs over there. They seem gung ho to start and these aren't guys that are new to the industry. So I'm a little confused with all the trash talk saying how much your company sucks. I see it's the same handful of people, so is it just the union stirring the pot at contract time or is it really that bad? And of course anonymous message boards magnify complaining and minimize those who are happy. I know my worst day at a crap LCC is still better than my best day at a regional, and I'd assume it's the same at any legacy. So what's the deal over there? Is it a decent job or is it mesa with big jets on the verge of collapse like some of you make it out to be. I find that very hard to believe and you certainly aren't succeeding at scaring applicants away if thats your goal.

I will say this much: With the exception of pay, USairways in 2013 felt better run and with dramatically less abuse of employees. Is it regional bad? No, largely because of pay and the training department. But my regional experience ended in 2012. Compared to today’s regionals? Yeah, maybe. Most people hired pre 2017 are stuck here, afraid to give up the promise of great seniority and don’t want to go back to 1st year pay. Nobody sees the new CEO as an improvement. Nobody I know feels like any VPs other than Vasu has a half a clue what’s going on and he is just good at sales pitches
