Yes...as alluded to in the previous post, you have to list yourself via a ballot on a scheduling app. Then scheduling, the day before, processes all the open trips, however out-of-base is among the last priorities. While it's not an everyday occurrence, out-of-base pickups do happen. I've flown with many pilots who picked up a trip out-of-base.
