Training can’t be scheduled over any planned absences (vacation, MLOA, etc).

I believe it says if there is a conflict with your vacation and training you as the pilot have the option of accepting the training dates if you want....but that is in very rare circumstances, and their first job is to, yes, not schedule training over vacation...I was merely responding to the guy who said senior people having summer vaca would not bid this vacancy, which wouldn't matter bc they don't schedule you over vacation, unless he meant personal vacations on regular time off, but again the training for the June vacancy is MAR, APR, and MAY, not summer months...

No it’s run a bajillion times via computer and tweaked til they get an acceptable training plan. The vacancy announcement bears little resemblance to what actually gets awarded. Every department seemingly takes a look at the results of each run. Last minute changes by network planning, manpower, training, finance, etc. will change the outcome.

why? Because they can do whatever they want contractually. All they have to do is run a vacancy 3x a year
