Am I correct in thinking that I could be LGA based (thinking 320, FWIW), then consistently bid for trips that begin and end in JFK (which is a much better commute for me from Austin)? Never worked somewhere with co-domiciles before.

Also makes a big difference between LGA D or I. You want JFK, definitely bid 737 I

Oh, okay. And could I also do a lot of JFK on the 320? (Just finished getting that type, and I actually like the plane a lot, but maybe I shouldn't be too attached to it.)

As a former 320 guy now on the 737, do yourself a favor and stay on the Airbus. I am not sure how the Airbus is distributed in New York.

Got my CJO on March 28th. Aiming to get the Airbus (47 years old). LAX is my base of choice. Until very recently LAX hasn't been offered. I did see though that the latest class drop had 3 LAX 737 slots. Looking to start INDOC in July.
So...my question is, should there be LAX slots for my class, should I take it even though it may be for the 737 OR choose the Airbus for a different domicile knowing that I'll get LAX eventually. I have guys in my Reserve unit that fly the Bus and love it. I've also spoken to guys that have flown both the 737 and the Bus and prefer the Bus hands down. Thoughts? |
