Well yes, that’s how it works. And next vacancy bid you’ll get PHX and will be senior to those guys.

Talking with a neighbor in scheduling. As time goes on, AA would like more and more be internationally qualified. Makes scheduling more flexible.

it’s incredibly stupid we have the setup we have now at all… I understand needing training AND currency in certain theaters but no other airline restricts guys from hoping the gulf to Cancun or going to the bahamas…

ORD hasn't been in a class drop since May 2022. Lately it has been around 8 to 9 months after hire date before people have been able to hold ORD through vacancy bidding (usually the 3rd vacancy bid). Expect to commute 4 to 5 months on the line before getting it. Sure there are exceptions but this is the case for the majority of people that I know. ORD is very senior and stagnant on the FO side.

Since ORD is senior o the FO side, is it possible to hold weekends off while on reserve there as an FO?

I'm at Spirit and was able to waive my guaranteed days off b/w reserve shifts to 1 and request weekends off. I understand leaving Spirit will result in losing some scheduling flexibility and QOL, but just curious if you can do this trick or something similar here at AA.
