Fastest Path to AA for a Regional New Hire?
Hi folks. Currently a new hire at a DFW-based WO and as the title suggests, I'm looking for the fastest way to AA.
Some folks are saying to get your ATP (next week is the ride), get on with a ULCC, get your 320 type, do that for a bit and then apply to AA. Seems like good advice given some other folks are saying the slowest way to AA is to work for a WO. Oops.
Some folks in my class are relying on direct hire for AA which they claim to be in 2-3 years. Unsure if that's accurate.
Any have any suggestions on how to do this while the mainline hiring is good? Also anybody care to share their path to AA (old or new info is helpful)?
Thanks in advance, all.

Live in Dallas? Go to SWA once you hit 500 RJ time (apparently their new minimums) then update your application from there. Or forget AA all together and go to a different legacy with 750 RJ time.

I’ve heard a few stories where pilots that have a LinkedIn with Endeavor as their employer were getting PMs from AA recruiters
