AA doesn’t want total time? I probably have about 220 hours or more that are dual received (like PPL multi etc). These hours don’t technically have a place on the app, they are not PIC or SIC or as CFI. Also, surprisingly it doesn’t ask about checkride failures? (I have 1)

I did see a place for checkride failures, but cannot recall where.

I personally put dual given as SIC. I found with this new application do not overthink it or over analyze it. For time, I assume it goes into an agrigate and shows them something we cannot see on their end.

Checkride failures are covered on Pilot Questionnaire page, question #6.

I have been sitting on an application for about 3 weeks with no pilot skills invitation. I sent an email to [email protected], the email listed under the "help" tab. I am assuming my application is not "live." Although, I have gone through it multiple times.

Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks.

Running into perhaps a similar situation. I've received two emails from two different individuals at AA saying to complete/submit my application despite it appearing to be complete. Tried all the tricks discussed here. No response from them or the generic AA email address regarding possible cause/solutions. I'm sure it's me.

What exactly needs to be put on Success Factors? Need to re-enter entire application?
Also, I have not been able to figure out how to get text messages. I never get the welcome text no matter what format I put my phone number in. Also, it deselects text messages every time I log out.

Hey folks.. working on my AA app now. Just wondering what the difference is between job title and job position in the employment history section. Also is it necessary to upload a resume? And should I list my flight training history in the education section or just college? Thanks!

Russell Case 07-24-2023 07:38 PM

Job Title: Corporate Pilot, Job Position: Cleaning the **** out of the jet, changing the Lav.

Yes upload a resume.

Education is just for, wait for it, Education. You will find there is no “type of school” for the Education entered there that had the drop down of “Flight School” so you shouldn’t enter it.

That’ll be $50, or you can pay for someone to review your app for double that.

I did not mirror my app on successfactors before the interview. That looks like the AA organization's larger HR onboarding system. I only ensured that I added my required documents into Jobs Applied>Pilot. I also added those docs to the application website for good measure. They had everything they needed. Same issue with the text function. In fact, successfactors changes my address every week or so to a previous address. Oh well.

Same situation here, a week after submitting and no word, no skills tests. I`ve sent 2 emails to [email protected] with no reply. I`ve been through my application and everything seems to be in order. I tried in Chrome and in Microsoft Edge. The only thing I`ve seen here in this tread is some talk about fixing the radio buttons and I`m not sure what that is...

Any help is much appreciated!

I applied in March. I am trying to log into the new site.
Should my old login info work?

What have applicants been doing for putting together a resume? Having it done professionally or just picking a template and creating your own? Any recommendations on good templates or formats to use?

BleedSwap 07-27-2023 07:15 PM

Finally got the skills test 6 weeks after submitting application. Just completed the test this evening. How long until I hear something one way or the other?

Continuingappch 07-27-2023 11:44 PM

BleedSwap, been almost 5 months since PST for me. Not holding my breath anymore.

I did zero paid professional resume, application, or interview prep. I do have an HR degree so I am sure that helps a bit. I asked a coupe of close friends that are already pilots with a couple different companies to review my application but that was as far as I went. I received a CJO with AA on July 18 and have an interview with SWA on August 31st. It can be done without prep, but I have no idea if I am an anomaly in that matter. Just speaking from personal experience.

For what it is worth, I completed my application with AA on the old system at the end of January. My info was ported over to the new system and I got a call for an interview about 6 months after initial submission.

Where do we input our flight times, work history, education, etc.? The new pilots.aa.com doesn’t have any of that and aa.pilotcredentials.com doesn’t seem to be working anymore. Anybody had any luck?

Continuingappch 07-30-2023 12:12 PM

Someone posted that it only worked on Chrome, and am inclined to agree, only when I viewed it in Chrome could I see all the problems that were created in the switchover. I fixed them up and have heard nothing since, who knows if there's yet more that isn't working well...

Yeah I was using Chrome when I tried. Maybe doesn’t like the iPad… Will try on a desktop later to see if that works.

The new app doesn’t like iPads. Worked fine when I used my MacBook. I had to use Chrome at first, but then when i was trying to update I could see everything on Safari as well. BL: Use a laptop and Chrome

I could not get the new site to work on any mobile device. It only worked with a computer (desktop or laptop). Chrome does work best but I also had luck with Safari on my iMac.

Russell Case 07-31-2023 07:32 AM

For everyone on here that received the new link for the Pilot Skills test even though you had previously taken it through PC and were told you did have to, TAKE IT AGAIN. Been wondering for a couple months why I hadn’t received a call yet (overqualified, handsome, numerous leather bound books) and my wife goes, “maybe the left hand isn’t talking to the right hand and you should take it again?” So I did last night; woke up to an interview email. Good luck all; it’s even easier the 2nd time! Hope this helps somebody who was in the same boat.

PST invite

Hey guys quick question, I submitted my app in and then less than 24 hours I got invited to take the assessment, im a bit surprised how fast I heard back. Any insight on how long after taking the assessment to find out if you were successful or not? I took the test today. If anyone is interested 2500 TT, 1000 turbine 0 TPIC. Thanks!

Pilot Skills Assessment

Hey everyone, I recently submitted my App within 24 hours I got the invitation to take the assessment. I just took the test and I was wondering if anyone has any insight into how long after I'll hear back? Getting invited to take the assessment less than 24 hours of submitting my app almost makes me think that it's almost an auto generated response to submitting my app. If anyone happens to have any experience with this it love to hear what you have experienced. For what it's worth My TT is 2500 hours with 1000 turbine time and im currently working at another major airline. Thanks!!!

Russell Case 07-31-2023 07:56 PM

It’s auto generated, used to be part of the app on pilotcredentials. Could be soon could be never; means nothing IRT time and competitiveness. Good luck!

Picollo 08-01-2023 09:59 AM

I've been following this thread for a while and can't figure out what the deal is on my end. I've had my app in since the day the new website popped up after the Pilot Credentials debacle. Everything filled out in entirety, over 1000 121 turbine time and not a single email for the assessment. Tried emailing support a month back to no response. No black marks etc on my background either, but it seems like that shouldn't matter as the assessment response looks automated for everyone else?

FlyinCat 08-01-2023 10:01 AM

Theres some magical trigger for the assessment. Did you fill out on Chrome? If you did, and still no assessment, I would recommend paying for an app review.

Initially was filled out in Safari and then updated through Chrome. This doesn't seem like the type of site that's going to require app assessment? It's fill in the blanks for the most part. Regardless, my information was pulled from other Apps that were built with an app review service as well as my resume.

If you've been following this thread something as simple as putting dashes in phone numbers will keep your app from getting pulled.

i got an email the next day saying my application was moving forward. The day after that, I received a phone call to set up the interviews

Continuingappch 08-02-2023 09:20 AM

Wow, I figured it was me just not being attentive enough, but no - this new platform is a work in progress.

Based on some other posts here I logged on to review my application again, which was originally on the other system in March. All my employment ending dates were gone and my flight times were all duplicated. That wasn't all. There's a new question, "Is this your primary current employer?"...answer options greyed out for previous employers but still flagged as incomplete 💩

Guess I will check it again soon for the next surprise. Confidence is low, glad some of you are getting through.

You got an email the day after you took the assessment? That’s great! I’m still waiting on a response… not sure if there is a way to check the status of the app/assessment.

I'm having the same issue. I hit save and submit but then it flags something else. Then when I hit save submit the button doesn't do anything. It seems something changed since I first filled it out and was able to save it just fine the first time. I have about 20 things now I need to fill in as required but it won't let me click the submit button. This is on chrome on a windows computer.
