I can’t let this BS slide…..TUMI was DRT the day it showed up in our emails. AA didn’t do anything but barely beat it by 2%.

it appears all your union can do is say me too!!

I remember when I was furloughed an AA FO sat me down and lectured me about my airline’s negotiations leading up to the furlough, and how it was our fault because we didn’t offer up enough concessions. He told me that every get, needs a give and the scales have to balance. It was our fault for asking too much.

I remembered that when my new air line passed a contract that had 0 gives. The Toddlers and TUMI 1 reminded me of that too.

Watching the select few of you defending this TA… well it was semi reasonable at first, and almost admirable. It isn’t your job to advance the profession after all. It would be nice, but I don’t blame you for doing what’s right for your families and your airline.

Please stop, you are embarrassing yourselves now. Your own BOD has conceded that this is a subpar TA. I’m very happy you get one more week of vacation sooner than us, but the whole agreement is not good. There shouldn’t be any gives. At all.

There are so many great guys and gals at AA but this persistent, rampant defeatism and anti union mentality of “balanced scales”, “we have to give to get”, and “just take the money” is what has led to this situation and needs to be firmly stomped out. There is far more than just pay and it is incumbent upon you to break the cycle and finally raise your QOL and contract for your fellow AA pilots and those that come after you.

Find a back bone, leave the place better, and stop accepting any concessions. To the 50% of you that get it I’m sorry to come preach it to you

That’s 100% false. I was on the forums when you guys dropped that massive POS TA. It wasn’t until AA the next day dropped a better TA before everyone got upset. At the time there was nothing to compare the TA off because United was first.

Also even if the TUMI TA would have been voted down without AA dropping a TA. Absolutely no way it would have been voted down by over 90%. That was pure momentum from the AA TA and made it easy to vote no and clean house. That exaggerated overwhelming “No” vote gap created huge leverage for a much better TA that you have now.

It also created time for DALPA to drop their TA with huge gains without Delta management having the leverage of the garbage TUMI TA possibly passing, which was no doubt not going to pass after AA dropped their TA.

Tumi TA was DOA, It wouldn’t have passed with or without the AA TA. AA TA helped push that percentage up, but not as much as you think it might have moved the needle. You will not always get the full picture on the forums….

I guess you were on United’s forums, and flying with United pilots to see our reaction. We were furious when we heard the rumors, and livid when we actually saw the Tumi Turd. It may not have failed at 94%, but that thing was dead.
