Thanks,
By sectors I meant legs per day.
Some bases have up to 4-leg days.

As stated previously- LAX NB trips are essentially the same as everywhere else. A mix of 1-5 day trips with 1-3 legs a day with a few 4 leg days sprinkled in. Asking about the trip mix for every domicile will gain you the same general answer.

Obviously LAX has Hawaii flying that you won’t get as much elsewhere. LAX has more trips that start with a red eye than east coast domiciles. East coast domiciles have more trips that end with a red eye than west coast domiciles. MIA obviously has more Caribbean than LAX, etc etc.

You’ll have plenty of time to do a forensic deep dive into trip mix and what your seniority gets you at X domicile after you get access during indoc… and you can hold pretty much any domicile that has your indoc awarded airplane within 6-9 months of starting.

Thank you Thrust, exactly what I needed to hear.

Does anyone know how senior the 737 trips starting out of SNA are? Are there a lot of trips that start out of SNA on the 737 and are these trips any different than starting out of LAX/ONT besides the start and end points? I’m closer to SNA and doing most if not all NB flying out SNA is my end goal for a 30+ year career.

If the AA FA's are any indication, very senior.

SNA is neither senior nor junior. LAX flying on the 737 has shifted mostly to SNA departures. There’s an occasional ONT trip as well as SAN. If you wanted to fly the Airbus there’d be more departures out of LAX.

Would LAX be a good choice for a new hire in terms of seniority progression, ie. getting off reserve and overall quality of life?
I am talking about the bus here, not the 737.
Or would it be better to start off in the east coast and then transfer west having gained better seniority?

Thanks

Are you a commuter? Then the best choice is to choose the base with the easiest commute from your location. That's it. The other differences are small between bases compared to that. There is so much movement in the company right now.

If seniority progression is what you want, then LGA/MIA/PHL are the way to go IMO. DCA moving quite a bit too.

No, I am a new US resident coming from Europe (although, technically, moving from the Middle East where I have lived for the last 10 years).
No place in the US as of yet, so I do not mind where I would be staying, really.
Looking to find a best place to progress my career with AA and enjoy the domicile at the same time (safety, weather, friendliness of the place, etc.).
My wife loving the concept of living in the Orange County in LA, hence my questions about this base in particular.
Thanks

DFW would be the best. NY and Miami along with LA are very expensive to live, plus you don't want to live in Blue states like California or NY.
