I will not put AA company apps on my phone. Read the user agreents, and read about device management....which CCI requires on your personal phone.
Yeah.... no way in Hades.
So, we all are going back to the stone ages in about a week from this posting.
APA is written all over this, and more specifically, a fued between the LiteSabre creator and one or more individuals in the APA that simply hate the guy.

It finally happened. The APA and AA got together to cancel the 3rd party apps we've come to rely on for schedule enhancements as well as many other features.
Gee... thanks.
Goodbye Litesabre, thank you Rob for a fantastic product that was intuitive to use, made my work-life so much better, and made me A LOT of money.
Hello b/s "me too" products that suck and are unreliable.

The service denial of LS to use FOS is only against LS, (not all 3rd pary apps, adding to my theory that this is simply a personality clash/poliltical move by APA).
Check My Pay, another 3rd party app, is not affected.
Hmmmm.

This was 100% a coordinated attack. APA realized that it could not compete with litesabre in terms of programming or usability. APA tried to buy litesabre and the price was too high. So, when AA shuts off the access, it is now worthless. This will allow APA to buy it at a fraction of the cost.
Litesabre was wildly benefitial to both the pilots and the company as a whole. The company would not cut off the access and hurt itself if there wasnt a plan already in place.

Friendly reminder for those that may not be familiar, even though they're killing LS, which gives the appearance of P2P trip trading going away, it still exists within DECS and is still not subject to OTL limits. You will just have to use raw DECS or TASC Sabre.

Greedy?
It was an optional service. You could do about 70% or more of what LS offered through AA and APA apps, but with a UI that was way worse. LS was a convienence. You could elect to use it or not.
Nimble Trader still blows any of the AA or APA products out of the water in terms of usability. That alone was worth at least 20 bucks a month when TTOT was still on.

The same thing happened at Envoy during COVID. We had an app called QuickTrade that made picking up open time, proffering for reserve, and trip trading much easier. VP of Flt Ops Ric "Furlough Them All" Wilson and his cronies pulled the plug on it when the pilots snagged a ton of open time which was being canceled during the first part of the pandemic. However, the pilots quickly learned the FOS commands to do the trading and pickups rendering Slick Ric's tantrum worthless. I hope you all do the same.
